INDEX Medical Centre and the China Medical University Hospital Signs an Agreement to Enhance Medical Tourism

Dubai – United Arab Emirates, January 5th 2015: INDEX Holding and China Medical University Hospital (CMUH) signed today an agreement of cooperation at the INDEX Holding premises in Dubai. The agreement indicates encouraging joint cooperation and investment between the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan, especially in the areas of hospital management and boosting medical tourism between the two countries.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani Chairman of INDEX Holding and Prof. M.D. Su-Ming Hsu, Superintendent of Center of International Affairs of CMUH. Moreover, Eng. Anas Al Madani, Vice Chairman and CEO of INDEX Holding, Mr. Chao-Yuan Ma, Director General of the Commercial Office of the ROC (Taiwan) to Dubai and in the presence of Mr. Shyh-Perng Chang, Director of the Taiwan Trade Centre, Dubai attended the signing ceremony.

Both parties welcomed this initiative which will open doors for investment in the UAE and Middle East especially in the Heath Care Field. They also discussed that the CMUH qualify Doctors to be a part of INDEX’s Visiting Doctors Program and introduce their presence within the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) and other relevant authorities.

The Taiwanese delegation also visited INDEX Medical Centre located in Dubai Health Care City and toured its facilities, to encourage CMUH specialized Doctors to be a part of INDEX’s Visiting Doctors Program and encourage Taiwanese medicine and its various treatment modalities to the UAE in cooperation with  a number of Health care entities in the UAE.
