Dr. Al Madani Named Goodwill Ambassador by PAM

Dubai – United Arab Emirates, 8 March 2019: The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) unanimously named Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, and the Executive Chairman of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD) and the scientific board (DISAB), as the goodwill ambassador making him the first non-member personality to be given this title. This was followed by the unanimous vote of the members of the Assembly during the 13th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in Belgrade, Serbia.

Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani was awarded the title of Goodwill Ambassador for his continuous humanitarian efforts and his hard work in the field of charity and relief, Dr. Al Madani is also deeply keen to serve the community and empower all human beings regardless of their color, gender and religion, which is evident through his private companies and institutions.

On this occasion, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding and Executive Chairman of DIHAD and DISAB said: “I am truly honored with this recognition as the Goodwill Ambassador specially that this the first time PAM gives the title to a non-member of the Assembly. Therefore, I would like to deeply thank the President, the Secretary General, and the members of the parliament of the assembly for their appreciation and confidence.”
He added: “This title is nothing but an encouragement for me to complete the humanitarian, relief and volunteer work through my presence, relations and representations in various international institutions in the humanitarian, scientific, health, educational and economic fields in order to achieve the noble humanitarian goals that serves our community.”

It is worth mentioning that four years ago, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani was granted the PAM personality award of the year, given for the first time to a person outside the PAM committee members.

Furthermore, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani is the founder of DIHAD Conference and Exhibition- the world-renowned humanitarian gathering that tackles the pressing issues of the humanitarian crisis and natural disasters by developing mechanisms and coordinated programs to mitigate the suffering and empower individuals to overcome the challenges that faces them.
