Dubai Hosts the 11th Global Scientific Dental Alliance Meeting in support of Scientific Research & Development of Performance
with the participation of 29 countries and more than 60 heads of dental associations, societies and institutions
Dubai – United Arab Emirates, 5th of February 2014: AEEDC Dubai Conference and Exhibition carried on for the second day at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre with a great number of dentists, dental students, dental specialists and industry leaders who came form all parts of the world to benefit from this outstanding oral and dental gathering. Attendees and participants benefited greatly from the comprehensive program on current and advanced theories highlighting the latest topics and clinical cases in the field of dentistry so that participants were able to enhance their practical expertise, build a knowledge platform among qualified specialists across the globe and acquire extra CME points.
Major activities that took place during the second day of AEEDC 2014 included the 11th Global Scientific Dental Alliance Meeting with the participation of 29 countries, 22 of which are Arab countries and more than 60 heads/presidents of dental associations, societies and institutions. This annual meeting lifts further knowledge, recommendations and scientific concerns. During the meeting, the GSDA provided new ideas and deliberated on vital issues in dentistry, oral health care treatment and continuing education programs.
Dr. Nasser Al Malik, Conference Chairman said: “On the first day of AEEDC 2014, we witness the development that it had undergone to become the world’s 2nd largest dental conference, and the 1st in the Middle East. This achievement hasn’t been a coincidence, as the people involved since its inception will attest to. It’s been a long journey with the goal of becoming the world largest dental conference. We are almost there and thanks to the support of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority and to our loyal participants who have been supporting us all these years.”
Regarding the Conference, Dr. Mohammed Abedin, Conference Vice Chairman said: ”The 2nd day of AEEDC Dubai witnessed a renewed gathering of the Global Scientific Dental Alliance with new resolutions that will elevate the level of Scientific Continuous Education Sessions and the Scientific researches in the MENA region once more, but this was not all that the 2nd day had to offer, the lecture halls were packed with over 15000 enthusiastic listeners from the dentist community, and the registrations for both the conference and the exhibition visit continued, to reach 30000 visitors.”
Dr. Abedin added: “The parallel scientific sessions attracted the interested dentists in practical hands-on learning, and the exhibitors showcased new material and equipment. The general program had a brand new feature, for the 1st time ever, Dental Education Problems and Solutions were presented to the participants by the elite opinion leaders of the matter. On the other hand, universities continued confronting each other at a scientific challenge, demonstrating their students’ knowledge and trying to earn the title “AEEDC Dubai Knowledge Champion”.
And for the fifth consecutive year, AEEDC Dubai featured the AEEDC Student Competition which intends to bring out the best in the next generation by involving students in educational intellectual competitions and offering them incentives for self improvement. AEEDC Student Competition provides a unique opportunity to all dental students who are in their last academic year to actively interact with their counterparts from different dental colleges and universities through individual and group competitions, which in turn will motivate them with a vision of exchanging information, knowledge and expanding their horizons on various issues of dentistry.
This year students from 6 dental colleges had registered in the competition including; Oman Dental College, Saratov State Medical University n.a. V.I. Razumovsky, University of Sharjah, Alfarabi college of Dentistry and Nursing, RAK College of Dental Sciences, and Libyan International Medical University. The winning team will gain several awards in addition to gaining the chance to participate in AEEDC the coming year for free.
From his side Dr. Abedin added:”The 2nd day was full of activities, but AEEDC Dubai 2014 still has one more day of endless knowledge transfer and amusing scientific/clinical sessions to offer, not mentioning the awards allocations, of which we have 11 categories, with the newest category (AEEDC Dubai Best Clinical Photo Award and it’s subcategories from next year) to set a new benchmark in the number of recognition awards within one industry.”
Dr. Al Malik added: “AEEDC has always aimed to be in the forefront of all dental conferences and we knew from the beginning that the only way to reach the top is to provide a rich scientific content in addition to a distinctive exhibition. In the scientific committee, and as dentists ourselves, we understand that the main attraction is always the scientific content to participants; dentists can find any product now on the internet, so there must be another attraction beside exhibitions for dentists to come and participate. The successful combination of both a rich scientific program and a versatile exhibition is necessary to the success of any large professional conference.”

دبي – الامارات العربية المتحدة، 5 فبراير2014 :استمرت لليوم الثاني فعاليات مؤتمر الإمارات الدولي لطب الأسنان ومعرض طب الأسنان العربي واللذي يقام في مركز دبي الدولي للمؤتمرات والمعارض مع ازدياد عدد الزوار والمشاركين في إيدك دبي الذي بات وجهة أطباء الأسنان والإخصائين والشركات والمؤسسات المعنية من شتى أنحاء العالم. تمكن الحضور والمشاركين من الاستفادة بشكل كبير وفاعل من البرنامج العلمي الشامل والملم والذي تطرق لعدد من النظريات العلمية في طب الأسنان بحيث تمكن المشاركون من تطوير خبراتهم العلمية والتعرف على أبرز المتحدثين العالميين بالاضافة الى الحصول على الساعات العلمية المعتمدة.
استضاف مؤتمر ومعرض إيدك دبي في اليوم الثاني الإجتماع السنوي الحادي عشر للإتحاد العلمي العالمي لطب الأسنان باشتراك 29 دولة، 22 منهم من الدول العربية وبحضور أكثر من 60 مدير ورئيس لجمعيات طب الأسنان وذلك لأهمية الحدث وفعالياته العلمية والإجتماعية والاقتصادية. يقوم الاتحاد هذا العام بمناقشة أفكار حديثة وشاملة لكافة المواضيع الطبية في مجال طب الأسنان، والعلاج والرعاية الصحية وبرامج التعليم المستمر وذلك لدعم الأبحاث العلمية وتطوير المستوى المهني في مجال طب الأسنان.
وحول المؤتمر قال الدكتور ناصر المالك، رئيس مؤتمر إيدك دبي: “نشهد في هذا العام التقدم والتطور الذي وصل له هذا المؤتمر ليحتل المركز الأول في الشرق الأوسط والثاني عالمياً. لم يكن هذا الإنجاز في محض الصدفة، حيث أن الأشخاص الذين عملوا على هذا المؤتمر منذ انشاءه يشهدوا على ذلك، فكان لهم رحلة طويلة هدفها الوصول بالمؤتمر لأن يصبح الأول عالمياً. فنحن نسعى الى ذلك وواثقين أننا سنصل لهذا المركز بدعم صاحب السمو الشيخ حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب حاكم دبي، وزير المالية، رئيس هيئة الصحة في دبي وشركائنا الذين مازالوا يدعموننا حتى هذا اليوم.”
ومن ناحيته قال الدكتور محمد عابدين، نائب رئيس مؤتمر إيدك دبي: “شهد اليوم الثاني من إيدك دبي الإجتماع السنوي للاتحاد العلمي العالمي لطب الأسنان والذي أصدر قرارات جديدة من شأنها رفع مستوى التعليم من خلال الدورات والبحوث العلمية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط ،بالإضافه الى ذلك ازدحمت قاعات المحاضرات بأكثر من 15000 مستمع من المجتمع الطبي، واستمر التسجيل للمعرض حتى بلغ عدد المسجلين الى 30000 .”
وأضاف د. عابدين: “جذبت الجلسات العلمية أطباء الأسنان المهتمين في التدريب العملي واهتم العارضون بتقديم أحدث المواد والمعدات الطبية. أما من ناحية برنامج المؤتمر لهذا العام تميز بتغطيته لمواضيع مهمة مثل المشاكل والحلول الأكاديمية في طب الأسنان الذي قدمه نخبة من أصحاب القرار في هذا المجال.ومن ناحية أخرى واصل طلاب الجامعات المنافسة والتحدي العلمي بين بعضهم البعض مما يعكس مستواهم الأكاديمي وسعيهم لكسب لقب ” بطل ايدك دبي للمعرفة “.
كما يشهد اليوم الثاني من مؤتمر ومعرض إيدك دبي عدة فعاليات تستقطب جيل الشباب كالمسابقة الطلابية التي ينظمها إيدك للعام الخامس على التوالي والتي تعتبر من أبرز المسابقات التعليمية للطلاب في مجال طب الأسنان وذلك لتحفيز الطلاب في عامهم الأخير على تعلم التقنيات العلمية والمهنية اللازمة في طب الأسنان ويعمل على ادراج الطلاب بمسابقات علمية تشجعهم على تطوير مهاراتهم. تمنح مسابقة إيدك الطلابية فرصة تفاعل الطلاب مع نظرائهم من الكليات والجامعات الأخرى من خلال المسابقات الفردية والجماعية، وحثهم على تبادل المعلومات وكسب الخبرات وتوسيع أفق المعرفة لديهم في كافة المواضيع التي تتعلق بطب الأسنان.
وتعتبر هذه المسابقة من أبرز المسابقات الدولية التي تهدف الى دعم الطلاب وتعزيز تفاعلهم مع بعضهم البعض ومع الخبراء من الخارج. ويشارك في مسابقة إيدك لهذا العام 6 جامعات تشمل كل من كلية عُمان لطب الأسنان، وجامعة ولاية ساراتوف للطب، وجامعة الشارقة، وكلية الفرابي لطب الأسنان والتمريض، وكلية طب الأسنان في رأس الخيمة، والجامعة الليبية الدولية للعلوم الطبية. هذا ويحصل الفريق الفائز على عدد من الجوائز المادية والمعنوية بالاضافة الى المشاركة في مؤتمر إيدك العام القادم مجاناً.
وقال د.عابدين: “كان اليوم الثاني حافل بالأنشطة، ولكن لا يزال لإديك دبي 2014 يوم واحد من ورشات العمل وجلسات العلمية المكثفة بغرض نشر العلم والمعرفة، بالاضافة الى ذلك سيضم اليوم الأخير توزيع جوائز إيدك دبي في فئاته الإحدى عشر من بينهم الفئة الجديدة وهي جائزة إيدك دبي لأفضل صورة إكلينيكية مما يضع معايير جديدة في الجوائز التقديرية في مجال طب الأسنان.”
ومن ناحيته أضاف الدكتور ناصر المالك: “لطالما سعينا أن نصل بأن يكون إيدك في طليعة مؤتمرات الأسنان وكنا على دراية منذ البداية بأن الطريق الوحيد الى ذلك سيكون بتوفير المحتوى العلمي الغني بالإضافة الى المعرض المتميز الذي يغطي كافة المستلزمات والتقنيات الحديثة في مجال طب الأسنان. كوننا في اللجنة العلمية وكأطباء أسنان، نحن نفهم أن عامل الجذب الرئيسي هو دائماً المحتوى العلمي للمشاركين وهذا الذي نحاول أن نركز عليه في هذا المؤتمر. نأمل في زيادة عدد المشاركين لهذا العام والحصول على المزيد من الأرقام القياسية في النشاطات المصاحبة للحدث، والمحاضرات المقدمة خلال المؤتمر، والشركات المشاركة في المعرض.”
